Initiation By Flame is a work that displays a Chysiridia Rhipheus (Sunset Butterfly Moth) as the main focal point. The Sunset Moth is known for navigating change with courage, trusting one's inner journey, and finding light in darkness as well as transformation and connection from the seen world to the unseen worlds. The large skull is to symbolize the largest death of all–ego, your fears, doubts, dogmas, ideologies, traumas, attachments, desires, pains, and insecurities. Intertwined with the skull are fire and a ladder; the flame representing purity, refinement, and as well as passion and fire; the ladder representing the transformation upwards, stages of development and achievement. Embedded in the skull and ladder are nails symbolizing magickal intent but also connection and protection. Lastly, the moth at the top of the ladder representing transformation, a new beginning, and a Phoenix rising from the ashes.
The box frame it's self ultimately representing life; the bottom representing, decisions good and bad, duality, and the ups and downs, either side is a slow fade from fixed to a wave symbolizing, flow, and higher vibration. The eye represents the oversleeping omnipresent Eye, the eye of ALL, your higher consciousness connected to the source of all things.
This wonderful piece can be displayed on the wall but if one is of the magickal arts it can be charged as a talisman on an alter.
